As India undergoes rapid urbanization, our cities face severe ecological degradation. Urban heat islands, expanding pollution levels, depleting ground water, and a loss of native biodiversity are critical environmental challenges. Oxygreen Foundation builds self-sustaining ecosystems to meet these challenges head-on.
Unlike conventional tree planting drives that prioritize metrics over results, we plant native forests designed to survive. Combining local species selection with methods like the Miyawaki technique, we establish fast-growing, biodiverse urban micro-forests and bio-shields that actively lower local temperatures.
We operate under strict integrity codes. Every donor receives geo-tagged coordinates and photographic updates of their trees. As a registered Section-8 non-profit, our operations are fully audited and eligible for tax exemptions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

Oxygreen Foundation was conceptualized and established under the visionary guidance of environmentalist Sandeep Chahal. Recognizing the critical nature of India's urban ecological crisis, he transitioned from traditional environmental advocacy to hands-on field conservation, aiming to build a scalable, structured green movement.
Sandeep Chahal believes that a tree plantation campaign must move past visual metrics and focus on post-plantation survival. Under his direct supervision, Oxygreen has organized over 350+ green drives, successfully establishing biodiverse forest patches, urban micro-forests, highway buffers, and school groves. His commitment to geotagging each sapling and maintaining direct audit trails has made Oxygreen a highly trusted name in ecological conservation.

We don't just dig holes and plant saplings. We implement a rigorous, science-backed framework to ensure every tree has the highest chance of long-term survival.
We exclusively grow and plant indigenous trees (such as Neem, Peepal, Banyan, Jamun, and Bael). These species are perfectly adapted to regional climates, consume significantly less water, and support local birds, insects, and soil ecosystems.
For dense urban developments, we employ the Japanese Miyawaki afforestation method. By planting multi-layered native species close together, trees compete for sunlight, growing up to 10x faster and forming a self-sustaining forest in 3 years.
Plantation is only 10% of the work; the remaining 90% is maintenance. Every site we develop is continuously monitored, watered, and weeded for 3 years. This commitment secures an exceptional tree survival rate of 80% to 92%.
